Artist Statement Reflection

Typically, I use this to talk about the visual aspects of a work to develop informed judgments. As humans, we often judge before anything else. My philosophy in art, in being a creation, in education and also in being a mother, is to remain curious, ask questions, and try to understand from a deeper level. In all my years of living, I realize that to understand at a deeper level, this is a skill. These questions start the process of teaching this skill of observing to better understand.
