The Importance of Fine Arts in Education
Art education promotes a diverse approach to retaining information and allows students to make new connections that are unique to them. The arts allow students to apply their knowledge and acquire new concepts through creating. The students gain a sense of freedom to evaluate their work and reflect their understanding of the world, not only engaging in the highest level of critical thinking but this approach has also shown a significant improvement in behavioral and social skills as well as self-esteem.
